Coaches have played a critical role in the development and growth of volleyball in Australia. Through specific measures at major junior and senior events the number of coaching opportunities has grown, especially within ‘Indoor’ volleyball. However, with an identified need to both introduce better methods/means for coaches to develop and to provide a system to better cater for Beach Volleyball and Para Volleyball an updated framework for coaching was required.

Following on from a successful Tokyo Olympic Games campaign, Volleyball Australia (VA) are recruiting a number of coaching roles within its pathways and high performance programs. All roles are contracted for a period of two years, and are based in either of VA’s Adelaide or Brisbane locations.

Sporting organisations who wish to become a coaching provider for Volleyball Australia and deliver in Sporting Schools must meet the requirements below: Hold a valid ABN or declare ABN exempt; Confirm adequacy of insurance; Sign a Sporting Schools Spikezone agreement with Volleyball Australia and your State Office
Volleyball Australia is currently in the process of developing a Level 4 Coaching course criteria and process but does not currently offer this qualification. COACHING RENEWAL All Coaches must ensure they are fully accredited before undertaking any coaching activities.
